Character Design Tutorial

Hi guys,

Here in this post,I'm going to share some techniques and tips on concept character design.

When we are working in industry we just cant play around with our concepts, randomly design some characters and stuffs. But to keep ourselves creative and to make own library of characters,we are free to sketch.I mean we can draw anything we want.
The tutorial which I am going to discuss is not about the basic construction of character, not its shape. Because we don't know what are the shapes we are going to achieve in the end. I call it "scribbles to characters". :)

Go through the images below, which describes the whole process.......
Well, this is just a piece of scribble that I made in photoshop.
After the scribbling is done,I started observing the lines and tried to find out some lines which forms some shapes, which I need for creating new characters.
I guess I found one.

As soon as I found the line,I found my character too. Guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a tribal guy who might be showning direction to someone.

Down here I've posted some other characters, which I made using the same scribble.........
